SILINA is a deeptech startup that just raised several millions euros to create the new generation of vision systems thanks to a disruptive technology that enables to curve imaging sensors (e.g CMOS).
This major innovation in the semiconductor field aims to become the new standard in imaging. It brings superior image and detection quality to vision systems in multiple imaging markets, with the added bonus of reducing the weight, volume and cost of these systems.
This technology has already attracted the main players of the following industries: aerospace, smartphone, automotive, augmented reality… The R&D team consists of a dozen young and dynamic people (mechanical, material, electro-optical, optical designer engineer,…) who have the ambition to meet this challenge while finding pleasure in working together. It is based in Gardanne (between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille), and must be strengthened with the integration of a Finite Element Analysis & Mechanical Engineer (W/M) as a permanent position (CDI).
You are responsible for the simulation of the key steps of the curving process of imaging sensors and are involved in its optimization through the realization of studies and prototypes. It is your job to select the appropriate combination of materials, design the structure and optimize the entire manufacturing process in order to meet customer requirements.
One part of your job will be dedicated to perform multiphysics simulations (Catia, Patran-Nastran, Comsol, Ansys, ….). You will be required to file patents and collaborate with software and optimization algorithm developers . Another part will be dedicated to rapid prototyping, testing and characterization of components. You will operate in an ISO5-8 cleanroom environment and be trained on several high-end equipment.
